winterized beauty

I believe, if you can change your clothes, bedding, and shoe choice for cooler weather, then you should also update your beauty routine.  I’m not saying to completely throw everything out the window.  Obviously you know what works best for your skin type and coloring, and it’s important to stay true to that when making any changes.  That being said, girls often get stuck in a rut with their make-up, thinking that what they are familiar with is the only look that will “work” for them.  I beg to differ.  I think you can slightly alter things about your beauty routine to make yourself appear fresh and different without drastically changing your look.  Try adding a different lipstick, a smoky grey or blue liner instead of the usual black, and maybe…dare I say some shimmer?

Here are a few products I’ve been working into my makeup look for cooler weather- do you think you would add them to your routine?

P.S.- I recently starting using that primer on the regular and I don’t know how I ever lived my life without it.  My make-up looks so much better and lasts longer.

I love Benefit’s High Beam- I use it daily! I also love the Revlon Colorburst lip butters- they are great when you don’t want to wear a heavy lipstick!

Just found your blog this morning and have been looking through a few old posts, I love it. Keep up the good work!

That Benefit mascara is so awesome! My roommate recently snagged it and after trying it a few times, I went out and bought it for myself. Definitely a new favorite!

I love that Mac lipstick color! And I’ve never heard of the high beam product. I may need to look into that!

I totally agree with you. I always switch to a heavier moisturizer in the winter. My skin gets too dry so I absolutely need it.
