As I’m reaching my late twenties, my night time beauty routine has become increasingly important. Gone are the college days of falling asleep in a full face of makeup. In fact no matter how tired I am, I always wash my face before bed. I’ve gotten a few requests for my a.m. and p.m. beauty routines so I decided to share. What I do is very basic but it works for my skin and I stick by it. I promise to share my a.m. beauty/ makeup routine soon!
These are the products I use, all linked in the description below.
Remove all make up from eyes and lips. I use this on a cotton swab to get everything off.
Wash face with warm water and a gentle cleanser. I use this which can be found at any drug store, Target, etc.
Apply an anti-agin cream taking special care around the eyes. I use this one after it was recommended to me by a friend and I am hooked! My face feels so soft.
Apply a basic moisturizer to face and neck. I use the Aveeno one in the winter and this one in the summer because it is a little lighter.
I’m not counting this in the four steps but I also use Latisse at night on my eye lashes. I wanted to use it in the year leading up to my wedding to help them grow and it’s really working! I love it. I have a prescription for it from my dermatologist, but I’ve also heard great things about neulash which is available without a prescription.
Finally, remember to get plenty of sleep! I hope this is helpful. It’s a new year, and never too soon to take good care of your skin! Have a great weekend. xo
In the winter, I feel like I hate my skin. I know technically it’s the same skin that is on my face in the summer, but it just requires so much more work. My skin is more dry, my skin tone looks washed out, and the dewy look I go for is harder achieve. I love reading skin care tips online and getting new ideas for products and feel I have mastered what it takes to keep my skin looking good. Don’t get overwhelmed by the steps, it is most likely things you do anyway but just in a different order or with a new product.
